Here is a post to share a couple of eco friendly and green tips (or goals) from a quote found on Pinterest πŸ•Š the quote is noted to be made by hello nature blog, and includes 10 eco friendly and green tips (and goals) about how to make careful choices and be as eco friendly as possible in a simple and easy way, in day to day life 🌸 a couple of the tips noted include planting a tree (or two), using reusable shopping bags and buying second hand where possible, and I am hoping to do as many of the eco friendly and green tips (or goals) as possible, to help to look after the environment πŸ•Š I also studied environmental studies at Uni and often try to learn as much about being as eco friendly as possible, and be open to and listen to others' ideas, notes and tips.

A couple of nature books

Here are a couple of favourite nature, environment and mindfulness kind of books I have a copy of at home, or have borrowed to read from the library πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈΒ I studied environmental studies at university and have always loved nature, being outside and reading books and notes about nature, the natural world, mindfulness and being kind to yourself and to the environment. A couple of the books noted include the treasure yourself book by Miranda Kerr, the prophet by Kahlil Gibran, mindfulness and the natural world by Claire Thompson, the art of mindful gardening by Ark Redwood and peace is every step by Thich Nhat Hanh 🌸

A couple of on the go favourites

Here are a couple of natural beauty and on the go favourites I often carry with me in a handbag or cotton tote bag when I am away from home in the day time. A couple of the favourite things I try to always take with me include a water bottle, a book or notebook and a pen, a natural lip balm, a couple of natural lipsticks, a scarf and a KORA Organics rose quartz luminizer πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ a handbag I often use is a light brown handbag with a gold buckle from Trenery, a sister brand to Country Road, who are based in NZ (where I am from) and Australia. I also often use a cotton tote bag to help to carry a bit more.

A sweet smoothie bowl recipe

Here is a lovely and plant based recipe for a sweet smoothie bowl by beautiful Ella Mills, the founder and creative director of Deliciously Ella. The recipe is from Ella's book Deliciously Ella Every Day and I love all of the healthy and natural recipes, kind and helpful tips and beautiful photos in the book so much Β πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈΒ the recipe has a lot of natural and caring ingredients, including strawberries, banana, chia seeds and almond butter and could be so lovely to make in the morning for breakfast, or in the daytime if you would like to. Strawberries are one of my favourite fruits and the recipe could be helpful to make in the spring and summer in case it is easier to find fresh strawberries. You could also hopefully find all of the ingredients in your garden or at your local shop 🌸

A raspberry and pear recipe

Here is a simple recipe for a raspberry and pear drink, made with fresh pears and raspberries. The recipe is from a book called 100 Best Health Foods, which has a lot of beautiful recipes made with healthy ingredients from a number of different food groups, including fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, and also notes a lot of nutritional information about the healthy foods. The recipe has just a couple of ingredients, including fresh pears, raspberries, water and honey, you could hopefully find in your garden or at your local shop 🌸 the recipe could also be lovely to make in the autumn when pears are in season and you could hopefully be able to find fresh pears a bit easier πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ

Hand and nail care tips

Here are a couple of hand care and nail care tips I often use and I hope the tips could be helpful in case you are hoping to look after your hands and nails. A couple of the care tips include using a nourishing hand cream in the day time or when you feel your hands need some, using coconut oil on your nails and cuticles to help to nourish and moisturise them, giving the nails on your hands and feet a careful trim quite regularly and using a nail polish if you would like to, in a colour you like πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈΒ I also noted a couple of nail care tips included in the Beauty Guide book by Dr Libby, including a couple of nutritional and self care tips to help to look after your nail health.Β 

August favourites

Here are a couple of natural beauty, skin care and book favourites for the month of August πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈΒ the favourites I chose include the very gentle restoring oil from Trilogy Products, a gentle and calming natural face oil for sensitive skin, the KORA Organics noni radiant eye oil, a soothing and nurturing eye oil for the delicate eye area, a natural red lipstick from Karen Murrell lipsticks and a beauty book called the Beauty Guide by Dr Libby.
