A chicken recipe by Miranda Kerr

Here is a post to share a recipe for slow cooked chicken by Miranda Kerr, noted on the KORA Organics Spread the Light blog ๐Ÿ•Š I often cook for my mum and younger brother Chris and although I enjoy plant based recipes a lot and try to create and cook plant based recipes as much as possible, the chicken recipe by Miranda Kerr is so lovely and nourishing and is made with a lot of healthy and nurturing ingredients, including coconut oil, turmeric, rosemary, onions and garlic ๐ŸŒธ the recipe is a slow cook recipe, where the chicken is quite carefully made and is cooked for about 4 hours, and you can also make roast vegetables and green vegetables to eat with the chicken too.

Strawberries and banana with honey and almonds

Here is a simple and plant based recipe for fresh strawberries and banana, with honey and chopped almonds ๐Ÿ•Šย it is spring, early summer in NZ (where I am from) and the weather is warm and sunny and we just bought a packet of strawberries from our local fruit and veggie market a couple of days ago (our first strawberries of the season) ๐ŸŒธย strawberries are one of my favourite fruits, and I hope the recipe could be helpful in case you enjoy strawberries a lot too! to make the recipe, you just need fresh strawberries and banana, honey and whole almonds to chop, and you could hopefully find the ingredients for the recipe in your garden and at your local shop or fruit and veggie market ๐ŸŒธ

A veggie pizza recipe

Here is a recipe for a veggie pizza I often make for our family for dinner, and made for lunch just a couple of days ago ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธ the pizza dough is made in our bread maker and the pizza is made with mostly plant based ingredients you could hopefully find in your garden or at your local fruit and veggie market or shop, and you could also change the cheese to a plant based cheese in case you are hoping for the recipe to be plant based ๐ŸŒธย a couple of the ingredients included on the pizza include a simple home made tomato sauce, red bell pepper, cheese and fresh herbs from the garden, and you could also include any different kinds of ingredients you enjoy, including courgettes, lean protein, rocket, olives, capers, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes and more.

Cacao and almond energy balls

Here is a recipe for cacao and almond energy balls, created by Ella, the founder and creative director of Deliciously Ella ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธย I often made the cacao and almond energy balls when I was almost finished studying at University, to help to feel energised and keep pepped up when writing essays and before exams. Quinoa with fresh lemon

Here is quite an easy and simple plant based recipe for quinoa, made with fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper and olive oil, with roasted and fresh veggies. I often make the recipe for lunch if I can and the recipe has just a couple of ingredients you could hopefully find in your garden or at your local shop or fruit and veggie market, including quinoa, fresh lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper, veggies to roast, fresh veggies and fresh herbsย ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธย I am also hoping to be as plant based as possible until Christmas, to help to feel as light and healthy as possible, and to be eco friendly and look after the environment. I am hoping to share a plant based diary a couple of times each month, where I could share a couple of plant based recipes I hope you could enjoy too, and helpful notes about how eating more plant based and whole foods can help to support your beauty, health and wellbeing from the inside outย ๐ŸŒธ

Chicken wraps with fresh veggies

Here is a recipe for chicken wraps with fresh veggies, avocado and herbs I created to make for dinner on Wednesday ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธย the recipe has quite a lot of fresh fruits and veggies with a lot of nutrients, including carrots, courgette, tomatoes, cabbage, avocado and white onion, and is also quite quick to prepare as just the chicken needs to be cooked. In case you are hoping for the recipe to be plant based, you could include tofu or a different kind of plant protein, and you could also change the mozzarella cheese for a plant based cheese if you canย ๐ŸŒธย you could also include different kinds of fresh veggies and herbs, including lettuce, red onion, baby spinach, kale or parsley if you would like to.

Veggie pasta with almonds

Here is a healthy recipe for a veggie pasta made with almonds, feta and fresh parsley I created to make for dinner yesterday. The recipe is made with roasted vegetables, including sweet potatoes (kumara) and pumpkin, olive oil, fresh herbs, onion, garlic, fresh spinach, pasta, almonds, feta cheese and fresh parsley and you could hopefully find the ingredients for the recipe in your garden or at your local shop or fruit and veggie marketย ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธย you could also change the feta cheese to a plant based cheese, in case you are hoping for the recipe to be plant basedย ๐ŸŒธ the recipe is also quite quick to make, has a lot of nutrients, and just uses a baking tray, a medium pan and a pot.

Chickpeas with fresh tomato and lemon

Here is a healthy and plant based recipe for chickpeas with fresh tomatoes, herbs and fresh lemon I created to make for dinner a couple of days ago, with roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes and green veggies. The recipe has just a couple of ingredients you could hopefully find in your garden or at your local shop, including olive oil, white onion, fresh garlic, fresh herbs, tomatoes, chickpeas, salt and pepper, lemon juice and fresh parsley. I love chickpeas with tomatoes and roast veggies and also sometimes make a fresh hummus to have with carrots, celery or grain crackersย ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธ the recipe is also quite simple to make and hopefully the ingredients could be easy to find ๐ŸŒธ ย 

A sweet smoothie bowl recipe

Here is a lovely and plant based recipe for a sweet smoothie bowl by beautiful Ella Mills, the founder and creative director of Deliciously Ella. The recipe is from Ella's book Deliciously Ella Every Day and I love all of the healthy and natural recipes, kind and helpful tips and beautiful photos in the book so much ย ๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŒธย the recipe has a lot of natural and caring ingredients, including strawberries, banana, chia seeds and almond butter and could be so lovely to make in the morning for breakfast, or in the daytime if you would like to. Strawberries are one of my favourite fruits and the recipe could be helpful to make in the spring and summer in case it is easier to find fresh strawberries. You could also hopefully find all of the ingredients in your garden or at your local shopย ๐ŸŒธ

A raspberry and pear recipe

Here is a simple recipe for a raspberry and pear drink, made with fresh pears and raspberries. The recipe is from a book called 100 Best Health Foods, which has a lot of beautiful recipes made with healthy ingredients from a number of different food groups, including fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, and also notes a lot of nutritional information about the healthy foods.
