I have been using lavender oil for a couple of years, both in the bath with epsom bath salts, in a lavender and honey face scrub and sometimes on my pulse points just before going to bed, to help to have a calm sleep. Lavender oil has a very nurturing and calming scent and lavender flowers are one of my favourite flowers 🕊🌸 there is a lavender farm quite close to where I am from and I enjoy going there a lot, and also hope to go to see the lavender fields in the countryside in Provence, France too. Here are a couple of beauty care tips, sharing a couple of ways you could use lavender oil to help to look after your skin.
I bought a copy of a book called Earth to earth from a bookshop a couple of years ago and the book has a beautiful cover with a photograph of a sculpture, which is noted to be made from pumice stones and to be positioned in a calm pond. The reflection of the sculpture helps to create a circle shape, and the book has a lot of photographs of circle shape sculptures made from natural materials and photographed in nature.
I have been using the purifying face cleanser by Neutrogena naturals for a couple of years now and the cleanser is the one I use most often, both in the morning and evening. The purifying face cleanser is gentle and reliable, helps to gently remove make up and cleanse the skin, and could hopefully be found at your local shop or supermarket 🍃
Here are a couple of recipes with honey, found in the healthy foods and superfoods book 100 Best Health Foods. I have always loved honey on its own or in a warm lemon, honey and ginger drink, and honey is also one of my favourite ingredients to include in baking or cooking recipes. When I was little I enjoyed watching the bees and honey bees in the garden, and was always curious about where the bees would go after gathering pollen from the flowers, and how the honey was made 🌸

Here is a recipe for a lavender and honey face scrub I used to make when I was studying at University and had an assignment or was feeling a bit worried coming up to exams. The face scrub is made with quite simple ingredients (including lavender flowers, lavender oil, (organic) honey, lemon juice, brown sugar and organic coconut oil) you could hopefully find in your garden and at your local shop 🌸
As the autumn has come in New Zealand (where I am from) and the leaves on the trees have started to change colour turning light brown and to gently fall, the temperatures are also a bit cooler and there are often frosts in the morning. Here are a couple of ways to help to stay a bit warmer in the cooler autumn weather ✨
