Here is a post to share and note a couple of natural beauty care, skin care and other kinds of favourites for the month of January πŸ•Š it is summer here in NZ (where I am from) and the weather has been so so warm and sunny, with a lot of blue skies 🌸 I have been being careful to wear a moisturiser and sunscreen with an SPF each day and I hope a couple of the favourites noted, including a very gentle moisturising cream by trilogy natural products, a natural face oil by L’Elu skin care and a rose quartz luminizer by KORA Organics, could be helpful for you too in case it is warm and sunny where you are 🌸 a couple more favourites include a nourishing turmeric latte recipe and open heart meditations I often do just before bed.

Gentle moisturising cream by trilogy: the gentle moisturising cream by trilogy natural products comes in a beautiful round, glass jar with a circle lid, and light pink and white notes about the moisturising cream on the outside. There is also a separate scoop included to help to apply the moisturising cream from the jar, in case you are hoping to be as careful as possible, and the moisturising cream is thick and white and feels so soft. Because the gentle moisturising cream is carefully formulated for sensitive skin, it is neutral and unscented, and feels so soft and luxurious on the skin. I often apply the gentle moisturising cream on my neck and chest area too, just after cleansing and misting my skin.

A natural face oil by L’Elu skin care: the natural facial oil was kindly posted by L’Elu skin care and came carefully packaged in a beautiful geometric shape card box. The natural facial oil has a beautiful natural, leafy and earthy scent, is a clear golden colour and feels so luxurious and lovely to use. The natural facial oil by L’Elu skin care is also light and natural, absorbs into the skin quite easily and helps skin to feel so soft and looked after. As noted on the natural facial oil packaging, the natural facial oil is made with a careful blend of both natural plant oils and essential oils. The natural face oil is so nourishing and helpful in warmer weather after being outside in the sunshine quite a lot, or when your skin could be a feeling bit dryer.

KORA Organics rose quartz luminizer: as noted on the white box, the rose quartz luminizer is an organic highlighter with a soft pink rose quartz hue, which helps to provide hydration and a luminous glow. The rose quartz luminizer is also noted to contain certified organic noni extract and coconut oil for nourishing your skin and rose quartz powder to help to enhance your natural radiance. The rose quartz luminizer has a light and neutral scent, is a beautiful soft pink hue and has a creamy formulation which is soft and easy to apply to the skin. I apply the rose quartz luminizer on my cheeks and brow bones each day, and the colour of the rose quartz luminizer is gentle yet effective in helping to hydrate the skin and to give the skin a luminous and twinkling glow in the summer.

A turmeric latte recipe: here is a recipe for a nourishing turmeric latte, created by Nadia Lim, a kind chef who is from NZ. The recipe is called spiced turmeric latte, and is just made with a couple of natural and nourishing ingredients. I first made a turmeric latte just a couple of weeks ago, after trying and making organic matcha green tea lattes quite a lot in December, and the turmeric latte was also so delicious and felt really warming, healthy and gentle to drink. It could also be ok to make in case you don’t have all of the ingredients, and I often use an unsweetened almond milk for the plant based milk.

Spiced turmeric latte, by Nadia Lim

Ingredients

  • fresh turmeric, a 3cm piece, peeled (or 3/4 teaspoon turmeric powder)
  • fresh ginger, a 2cm piece, peeled (or ΒΌ – Β½ teaspoon ground ginger)
  • black pepper, a pinch of
  • honey, 1 heaped teaspoon
  • almond, cashew nut or hazelnut butter, 1 heaped tablespoon
  • water, 1 Β½ cups (or milk, for a creamier drink)
  • ground cinnamon, Β½ – ΒΎ teaspoon
  • vanilla essence or extract, 1 teaspoon
  • salt, a good pinch of

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy.

Warm up in a small pot and pour into mugs, or pour into mugs and warm up in the microwave. Sprinkle over more cinnamon to serve.

A couple of open heart meditations: I have also been doing a couple of mindfulness, open heart, and abundance meditations almost each day in January, to help to open and calm my mind, heart and body and be as kind and open hearted, comfy and positive as possible. I just found a couple of meditations to listen to on YouTube and there are a lot of different kinds of ones to listen to (of different lengths), with gentle music. It’s ok if you just listen to a meditation for about a couple of minutes a day too as it can help you to feel open and positive and calm. I also often light a candle (a vanilla candle by sweet treats & co) and listen to reiki healing music just before bed (a link to a very kind, gentle and beautiful one I listen to most often is here).

Are there any natural beauty care, skin care or other kinds of favourites you are enjoying a lot in the month of January? πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ have you tried a turmeric latte recipe before too?
