Here is a post to share a couple of early natural beauty care, skin care and other kinds of favourites for the month of October 🕊 a couple of the favourites I chose include a couple of natural lipsticks from the Body Shop, an organic coconut oil, the treasure yourself affirmations cards by Miranda Kerr, a plant based recipe for a hot chocolate with almond milk and a cotton and linen shirt jacket with a tie waist, from Country Road 🌸
A couple of natural lipsticks
I have been using a couple of natural lipsticks from the Body Shop quite a lot (almost every day) and both of the lipsticks are from the Colour Crush collection. As noted by the Body Shop, the Colour Crush lipsticks are super nourishing and moisturising, are cruelty free and vegetarian, and are infused with a light rose scent. One of the lipsticks is quite a sheer, light coral pink colour (colour number 18, sunset romance) and I often apply this colour first on my lips and cheeks to help to add a light pink glow. The second lipstick is a true, clear red colour (colour number 101, red siren) and I often lightly apply this colour second, on both my lips and cheeks to help to add a bit more colour.
An organic coconut oil
A second natural beauty care product I have been using quite a lot (almost every day) for the month of October is an organic coconut oil from our local shop. I had been using an organic coconut body lotion from Mailelani Samoa, although the bottle has almost run out, and I have been using the organic coconut oil as a body moisturiser and hand moisturiser a couple of times a day, and in the evening just after having a shower. The organic coconut oil is all natural, has a light, fresh coconut scent and applies and absorbs easily and gently onto the skin. My skin always feels so soft and nourished after applying the organic coconut oil.
Treasure yourself affirmations cards
I have been reading the affirmations on the treasure yourself affirmations cards by Miranda Kerr quite a lot too. The treasure yourself affirmations cards come in a pink box, with a similar pattern (with flowers and butterflies) as on the cover of the treasure yourself book, by Miranda Kerr. The treasure yourself cards are also published by Hay House and within the box are 64 cards with butterfly illustrations, and Miranda Kerr’s favourite positive affirmations. Miranda Kerr notes on one of the cards how she hopes the affirmation cards will help you to embrace the opportunities that come your way. I often read one of the affirmations cards each day.
An almond milk hot chocolate
Another favourite for the month of October is a simple and plant based recipe for a hot chocolate, just made with almond milk, brown sugar and cocoa. I made the hot chocolate recipe a couple of times and it could be so nice to make in case you are from the Northern Hemisphere, and the autumn weather is a bit cooler. To make the almond milk hot chocolate, just add about a cup of almond milk (or another kind of plant based milk) into a saucepan with a couple of teaspoons of brown sugar and a couple of teaspoons of cocoa, and warm up on a medium heat. Carefully pour the almond milk hot chocolate into a mug or cup and enjoy 🌸
A cotton and linen shirt jacket
Another favourite I just bought in October is a light, cream cotton and linen shirt jacket from Country Road. The shirt jacket is made with a light and soft fabric, has a couple of buttons down the front, and also has a string around the waist where you can tie the waist to fit you a bit more carefully. You can also wear the shirt jacket buttoned up as a shirt or open with a t shirt or singlet on underneath, as a bit more of a shirt jacket. I’m not sure if you can still find the shirt jacket on the Country Road website, although they often make beautiful linen jackets, and denim jackets too in case you are hoping to find a light jacket too (the website for Country Road is countryroad.co.nz).
Are there any natural beauty care, skin care or other kinds of favourites you have been enjoying a lot for the month of October?
