September favourites

Here are a couple of natural skin care, beauty care and other favourite things I have been enjoying or using quite a lot for the month of September. It is early spring here in New Zealand (where I am from) and there are a lot of spring blossoms, daffodils, bluebells, camellias and kowhai trees flowering in gardens 🕊🌸 the air outside feels light and fresh, a lot of light green leaves are coming through on flowers, plants and trees and there are a lot of birds singing and cheeping 🌸 a couple of the favourites I chose for the month of September include a moisturiser and a light pink cotton tote bag from KORA Organics, a chickpeas with fresh tomato and lemon recipe, a white cotton jumper from Country Road and a soft pink rose quartz gemstone.

KORA Organics soothing day and night cream

I made an order for a couple of natural skin care and beauty products from KORA Organics in September, and one of the skin care products is the soothing day and night cream. I had just run out of a moisturiser, and the KORA Organics soothing day and night cream is noted as being good for normal to sensitive skin. Further, the soothing day and night cream is described as a soothing and restorative daily moisturiser, made with evening primrose oil, pomegranate, chamomile, olive and lavender, to help to nourish and to revitalise the skin. Vitamins and noni extract are also noted to help to provide maximum antioxidant protection. The moisturiser is a light, natural colour, is creamy and soft, absorbs easily, and has a beautiful soothing and nurturing scent.

Light pink cotton tote bag

I also included a light pink cotton tote bag from KORA Organics in the order I made, as I just have a couple of bags and I hope the cotton tote bag could be helpful for library books, or when I am away from home and could need to carry a bit more. The light pink cotton tote bag is so lovely, is a good, generous size and has a light and simple shape and fabric. The bag also has KORA Organics printed on one side in rose gold lettering, and a love heart illustration and the words mind body skin printed on the other side. In case a cotton tote bag could be helpful for you (for school, university study, work, shopping, for library books) I think the light pink cotton tote bags are still available in special offers on the KORA Organics website, koraorganics.com.

Chickpeas with fresh tomato and lemon

I wrote an earlier blog post sharing a recipe for chickpeas with fresh tomato and lemon, and I enjoyed making the recipe a couple of times in September. The chickpeas recipe is so lovely to make for lunch or with roasted veggies, a lean protein (including chicken or a plant based protein) and green veggies for dinner, and is quite simple and easy to make. The chickpea recipe is also made with a lot of fresh and healthy plant based ingredients, including olive oil, white onion, fresh garlic, fresh herbs, tomatoes, chickpeas, salt and pepper, lemon juice and fresh parsley and you could hopefully find the ingredients in your garden or at your local shop or fruit and veggie market.

A white cotton jumper from Country Road

I turned 26 at the end of August, and was kindly gifted some birthday money and bought a jumper from Country Road as a birthday gift in the Country Road sale, a couple of days after my birthday. The white jumper is made from cotton, is a beautiful shape and goes with a lot of things, including blue denim girlfriend jeans. I often wear the jumper in the day time when I take our puppy Ruby for a walk too, as the weather is a bit warmer and the jumper feels so comfortable and lovely to wear. I think the jumper is called the oversized chunky knit and could maybe have sold out in the recent sale, although Country Road always have lovely jumpers and knitwear in light and natural colours in case you are hoping to find a jumper too (the website for Country Road is countryroad.com.au).

A soft pink rose quartz gemstone

I was kindly gifted a rose quartz gemstone from KORA Organics, for the launch of the noni radiant eye oil earlier in the year, in February. I often keep the rose quartz gemstone on my bedside table, and have been doing quite a lot of gentle face and neck massages with the gemstone in September. KORA Organics note how rose quartz is a soft pink gemstone, which is believed to carry a very gentle and soothing energy, to help to encourage self love, self esteem and forgiveness. I often use the rose quartz gemstone just after cleansing, misting and moisturising my face so my skin is quite soft and the gemstone can be applied to the skin a bit easier and gentler. KORA Organics also created a heart shape rose quartz facial sculptor a bit earlier in the year, and I am hoping to try the rose quartz facial sculptor soon.

Is there anything you have been enjoying a lot for the month of September?
