Here are a couple of hand care and nail care tips I often use and I hope the tips could be helpful in case you are hoping to look after your hands and nails. A couple of the care tips include using a nourishing hand cream in the day time or when you feel your hands need some, using coconut oil on your nails and cuticles to help to nourish and moisturise them, giving the nails on your hands and feet a careful trim quite regularly and using a nail polish if you would like to, in a colour you like 🕊🌸 I also noted a couple of nail care tips included in the Beauty Guide book by Dr Libby, including a couple of nutritional and self care tips to help to look after your nail health.
I just turned 26 on the 28th of August, and thought of creating a blog post to share 26 favourite things, including natural beauty and skin care products, self care ideas and a couple more favourite things I love, appreciate a lot, or often use and I hope noting the favourite things could be uplifting or helpful for you 🕊🌸 it is early spring in New Zealand (where I am from) and the weather is a bit warmer and there are quite a lot of spring blossoms, flowers and daffodils flowering in gardens. Here are a couple of favourite things, including natural beauty and skin care, self care ideas, animals, books and more and please note the favourite things noted are in no particular order 🌸
Here are a couple of natural beauty, skin care and book favourites for the month of August 🕊🌸 the favourites I chose include the very gentle restoring oil from Trilogy Products, a gentle and calming natural face oil for sensitive skin, the KORA Organics noni radiant eye oil, a soothing and nurturing eye oil for the delicate eye area, a natural red lipstick from Karen Murrell lipsticks and a beauty book called the Beauty Guide by Dr Libby. I hope the favourites could be helpful in case you are hoping to try a natural beauty or skin care product; are there any favourite things you have been using, trying or making a lot for the month of August?
I was kindly gifted a rose quartz crystal and a rose quartz bracelet as a part of a gift pack for the launch of the KORA Organics noni radiant eye oil earlier in the year. KORA Organics are a beautiful natural and organic beauty and skin care brand who are based in Australia, and all of the natural beauty and skin care products by KORA Organics are so lovely and feel so nurturing and calming to use. I had a smaller rose quartz crystal I had bought when I was little although I didn't know a lot about rose quartz and the kind and healing properties rose quartz crystals are believed to carry 🕊🌸 a lot of the KORA Organics beauty care products include rose quartz crystals as a part of the product and all of the skin care formulas are noted to be made with rose quartz crystals.
I made an order for a very gentle restoring oil from Trilogy Products, a lovely natural and eco friendly beauty care brand who are based in New Zealand, a couple of weeks ago. A free lipstick gift was included in the order from Karen Murrell, a natural lipstick brand who are also based in New Zealand, and who make beautiful natural lipsticks with lovely natural and caring ingredients (thank you Karen Murrell 🕊🌸). I had not tried a natural lipstick from Karen Murrell before, although I was hoping to try one and the lipstick is so beautiful and feels so caring and nourishing to use on the lips.
I pre-ordered a copy of Dr Libby's new book called the Beauty Guide a couple of weeks ago, and a parcel with the book just came in the post. As noted in the book, Dr Libby is an internationally acclaimed nutritional biochemist, author and speaker who holds a Bachelor of Health Science (nutrition and dietetics) with Honours and a PhD in Biochemistry, and has twenty years of clinical experience. I bought a copy of another book by Dr Libby called Beauty from the Inside Out, which was published a couple of years ago, and enjoyed reading the book a lot. Dr Libby's new book the Beauty Guide is also so beautiful and so lovely to read and shares a lot of generous and lovingly written information, beauty care tips and solutions about how to look after yourself and to uplift the way you see and feel about yourself as best you can 🕊🌸
I have been using a natural hair conditioner by Earthwise, a natural and eco friendly brand who are based in New Zealand, and who make gentle and natural body care and cleaning products. The conditioner is called the Nourish Revitalise natural Conditioner and comes in a white package, and I enjoy using the conditioner a lot. I have also tried a couple more of the shampoos, conditioners and soaps by Earthwise too, and we often buy Earthwise cleaning products to use at home as they are gentle, natural and safe, and help to care for the environment 🕊🌸
I bought a Cherry Blossom fragrance from L'Occitane en Provence in 2017, and was kindly gifted a couple of natural skin care samples from L'Occitane to try. The natural skin care products are included in the samples include the Amande concentre de lait (milk concentrate) and the Creme ultra riche (ultra rich cream) and the samples are generous and in a beautiful packet with illustrations. I had not tried the natural skin care products before, and enjoy and appreciate using the samples a lot 🕊🌸 L'Occitane is a lovely natural beauty, skin care and body care brand with products made in France, and I am hoping to try a couple more products from L'Occitane soon to include in a couple more blog posts 🌸
I just bought a Very Gentle Restoring Oil from Trilogy Products, a lovely natural, organic and eco friendly skin care brand who are based in New Zealand, and a couple of trilogy samples were included in the parcel (thank you Trilogy Products) 🕊🌸 the skin care products included in the samples include the Balancing Face Lotion and the Rosapene Night Cream, and both of the products are noted to be made with rosapene. I had not tried the skin care products before, and really enjoyed trying the face lotion and cream.
Here is a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, from a lovely cook, food writer and publisher from New Zealand, called Annabel Langbein. Annabel Langbein has a lot of baking and cooking books published with lots of beautiful photos, and her recipes are always so lovely and reliable and are often made with fresh ingredients. I opened a tin of condensed milk a couple of days ago and was a bit worried about how we could use the condensed milk, though I thought of baking chocolate chip cookies, as we also have some dark chocolate at home. I am hoping to bake the chocolate chip cookies today and the cookies would be so lovely to have for morning or afternoon tea or with a cup of coffee or tea in case you feel like something sweet 🕊🍪
