June favourites

Here are a couple of natural beauty, skin care and life favourites from the month of June. The natural beauty and skin care favourites I chose include the beautiful rose quartz luminizer from KORA Organics, the balancing rose mist from KORA Organics and the organic coconut body lotion from Mailelani Samoa. A couple more favourites I chose include the treasure yourself cards by Miranda Kerr, a chocolate brownie recipe from a recipe book we have at home and a light pink silk top I bought from Trenery 🕊🌸

June favourites

KORA Organics rose quartz luminizer

I just bought a rose quartz luminizer from beautiful KORA Organics by Miranda Kerr a couple of weeks ago in early June, and it is one of my favourite natural beauty products. As noted on the white box, the rose quartz luminizer is an organic highlighter with a soft pink rose quartz hue, which helps to provide hydration and a luminous glow. The rose quartz luminizer is also noted to contain certified organic noni extract and coconut oil for nourishing your skin and rose quartz powder to help to enhance your natural radiance. I use the KORA Organics rose quartz luminizer every day on my brow bones and cheek bones (with a rose blusher) to help to add a soft pink and shimmering colour to my skin.

KORA Organics balancing rose mist

I also bought a balancing rose mist from KORA Organics in June, and the balancing rose mist is so beautiful, has a light floral scent and feels so lovely to use. As noted on the bottle of the balancing rose mist, the mist is a replenishing and nourishing facial mist, with the added benefits of rose, noni, aloe and hibiscus. I often use the KORA Organics balancing rose mist in the morning and at night, just after cleansing my face, and a couple of times in the day too as the mist is ok to use with make up. I have also tried the KORA Organics calming lavender mist, and the lavender mist is so lovely too.

Organic coconut oil body lotion

My younger sister Bid went on holiday to Samoa in 2017, and bought home some kind gifts including an organic coconut oil body lotion. I use the body lotion often, including in the evening just after taking a shower, as the lotion is gentle and moisturising on the skin, and has a beautiful and calming light floral scent. As noted on the bottle, Mailelani means from Heaven in Samoa and describes the abundant blessing Polynesians have enjoyed for generations. The body lotion is handmade from organic coconut oil and is infused with frangipani and lau ti.

Treasure yourself cards by Miranda Kerr

I bought the treasure yourself cards by Miranda Kerr from an online bookshop a couple of weeks ago the the cards just came in the post a couple of days ago. The cards come in a beautiful pink box with illustrations of flowers and butterflies, and inside the box are 64 affirmations cards with Miranda Kerr’s favourite affirmations. The affirmations cards are white and soft pink and also include illustrations of butterflies. I am hoping to shuffle the cards and choose a card each day to help to remember a kind affirmation for the day.

A chocolate brownie recipe

I find brownies most useful. They are quick to mix and need no icing. They keep well, freeze well and can be served with a cup of tea or coffee, or at the side of a plate of stewed fruit or ice cream as dessert – American style.

Ingredients

  • 125 g of butter
  • 5 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)

Method

Mix the brownies in a medium size saucepan. Melt the butter (work with it liquid but not hot). Add to it the cocoa, sugar and eggs, salt and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Sift together the flour and the baking powder. Stir these in with the chopped nuts (if using). Pour mixture into a lined 20 to 23 cm square tin. Bake at 180 degrees c for about 20 to 30 minutes, until firm in the centre. When cold cut into rectangles.

A light pink silk top

I bought a light pink silk top from Trenery a couple of weeks ago, when Trenery had just had a sale on. The top is made from a lovely soft and light silk fabric and is a light baby pink colour with covered buttons. The light pink colour is my favourite colour and the top has t shirt length sleeves. I am hoping to wear the top with a pair of light blue or blue denim jeans as the top is quite soft and flowing, and a pair of sandals or boots.

Are there any natural beauty, skin care or life favourites you love or have been using quite a lot for the month of June?
